THE CHEVIOT SHEEP
Having lived on the windswept Cheviot hills of Scotland since 1372 the Cheviot sheep is a remarkably tough breed and produces the hardiest of wool fibres.
Renowned around the world for their great pedigree they even seem to have taken on the character of a native Scot, in that, under a somewhat rough exterior, they remain sound and honest at heart.
That is why we continue to use Cheviot sheep for our Porter & Harding heavy weight tweeds, producing a cloth of great strength, but with plenty of life in the handle.
This is a cloth that is certainly at home in the great outdoors!
